Consuming plenty of fruits and vegetables will give us the vitamins and minerals we need in order to have a healthy heart. Below are some tips to help you incorporate fruits and vegetables in the different meals of the day.
The amount of ingredients do not have to be exact but keep them close. You have to keep an eye on it and make sure it does not boil over. Stirring it keeps it from bubbling over onto the stove. We have always had a favorite pot we call our macaroni pot that seems to be the right size for our family. It is kind of like a sacred family tradition and makes it seem that much more special.
A sandwich with multi-grain bread with a filling of chicken or turkey breast with a slice of cheese and maybe a slice of a tomato.or peanut butter sandwich. A banana, fresh cut up veggies, 1 or 2 graham crackers, milk, juice, or water.
This is a nice alternative to the traditional breakfast of a bowl of cereal for more than one reason. I find myself that I always tend to let my milk spoil when i buy it. I just don’t use it fast enough to beat the expiration date. I also tend never to have time to wash dishes, and hate to continuously waste paper bowls and plastic spoons. Finally, my cereal finds a way of getting stale before I can finish a box. So, the milk and cereal bars are a way to avoid all of these problems!
When you feel positive you feel light and joyful and aren’t depressed. You bounce out of bed in the morning and into the shower to get ready for a great day. You sing along with the radio while you have a healthy breakfast and feel that life is good. You are full of expectations for the wonderful day you are going to have.
Most people get into trouble at Thanksgiving dinner by eating full speed ahead until they finally realize that they are full (after their second and third helping). The trouble with this method is the lag time in communication between your stomach and brain. In reality, you probably satisfied your hunger with your first plate of food, but your stomach takes a while to get that message to your brain. And during that lag time you took the opportunity to go for your second and third plate of food. This year sit calmly in your chair after that first plate and wait at least 20 minutes before getting seconds. You will be surprised to find that the thought of more food doesn’t sound good anymore – and you will have saved yourself unnecessary weight gain.

And the sugar is typically perfectly found in the sodas, process food/ manufactured food, which is loaded with unhealthy calories.
